Activities for hire or rewards

The Department of Chemical Sciences is a cutting-edge facility, capable of outsourcing its activities by operating on the market in the clinical, food, and environmental fields.

The Department is present in the territory and has been carrying out third-party design and consultancy activities for more than a decade, capable of providing rapid operational solutions and specific responses to analytical, verification, and control needs.

The Department has research and analysis laboratories equipped with modern instruments and a fleet of machines for instrumental analysis, with modern equipment capable of solving both analytical problems and the development of new protocols, products, or procedures to better respond to the various needs coming from the territory.

A brochure of the activities can be downloaded here.

The Department of Chemical Sciences is located in via Cinthia 8, in the University Complex of Monte S. Angelo, reachable by car via the Naples Ring Road (EXIT Fuorigrotta).

Performed analyses

At the Department of Chemical Sciences it is possible to perform:

  • Clinical analyses.
  • Water and soil analyses.
  • Agri-food analyses.
  • Environmental analyses
  • Special analyses

The department staff supports companies in drafting technical opinions, scientific reports, technical-scientific consultancy, to comply with community legislation (EU Reg. 852/04 and EU Reg. 178/02) and national legislation (Legislative Decree 31/01 and Legislative Decree 152/2006). Specific agreements to be agreed upon from time to time may be stipulated for the costs of the different analyses. Cost reductions will be defined for multiple analyses or for large numbers of samples. In the case of particularly complex analyses, specific consultancy will be provided to define the most suitable strategies for solving the problems. In these cases, appropriate estimates will be prepared according to specific needs.

In particular, it is possible to perform:

  • Chemical and microbiological analyses of drinking and thermal water as well as those intended for irrigation in agriculture and industrial use;
  • Analysis of solid and liquid environmental matrices, air according to Legislative Decree 152 2006
