Employment and career
Graduates have adequate skills and abilities to access to Ph.D. courses and to be successfully employed in chemical industries or in public centres, in research institutes or in analytical laboratories. The proper preparation of the general scientific method in the different sub-fields of chemistry and the acquired skills can be used to access to managerial roles in the companies.
Graduates can exercise the profession corresponding to their degree, after having obtained the qualification through the State Exam. Professional figures may include, but not exclusively, those relating to codes 2.1.1.2 of the ISTAT classification of professions.
Since April 2017, graduates can access to the professions of "Agrotecnico" and "Agrotecnico laureato", after having obtained the appropriate qualification through the State Exam. Further information on exam calendar, date and place of exams, results can be found here: www.agrotecnici.it.
Other traditional employments are teaching and marketing.
Graduates can continue their studies at Department of Chemical Sciences following the Ph.D. courses in Chemical Sciences (Dottorato in Scienze Chimiche) or in Biotechnology (Corso di Dottorato in Biotecnologie).
