FINAL EXAM IN CHEMICAL SCIENCES

Fulfilments that are required for carrying out the final exam of the Master Degree in Chemistry are reported below: 

 

  1. At least six months before the graduation session, students will present their thesis project during a public seminar. The seminar is needed to assign the CFUs referred to as "Orientation activities and thesis support" (Attvità di orientamento e supporto tesi, class 62/S) or referred to as "Internships and orientation activities" and "Computer skills, orientation activities and thesis support" (Tirocini ed attività di orientamento" and "Abilità informatiche, di orientamento e supporto tesi" (class LM-54).
  2. Students interested in taking an external thesis, before starting their activity, have to contact Student Practice Commission (prof. Maria Rosaria Iesce). The commission will verify that the thesis project is in line with the aims of the Master degree in Chemistry and will assign an internal Supervisor to the student.
  3. At least fifteen days before the date of the public seminars, students will send an abstract of their thesis project to the Secretariat of the Department (Dott. Marinella Rotondo) and, at the same time, he/she will send a copy of the abstract to the Commission assigning Examiners (e-mail address: carla.manfredi@unina.it). The commission will assign two Examiners to each student before the public seminar.
  4. The student will meet each Examiner at least two times. An interview will take place at an intermediate stage of thesis work; the final interview will be held at least ten days before the graduation session. At least fifteen days before the graduation session, the student will deliver:

a) to Student secreteriat (Segreteria Studenti -Area Didattica di Scienze Centri comuni di Monte S. Angelo):

·        An electronic copy of the Master thesis (CD-ROM);

b) to each Examiner:

·        a copy of the thesis;

c) to the Secretariat of the Department (Dott. Marinella Rotondo):

·        a brief abstract of the thesis, signed by the Supervisor. The student will also send a copy of this abstract to Graduation Committee (e-mail address: carla.manfredi@unina.it);

·        an anonymous compiled copy of the Survey for students of the Master degree in Chemistry (Questionario per laureandi in Scienze Chimiche)
