Employment and career

After Graduation

Employment opportunities for Chemistry graduates (with Bachelor's degree)

Graduates in Chemistry acquire skills and competencies in understanding the behavior of molecules, from ions to biological or artificial macromolecules. These skills uniquely prepare the student for work involving an investigation on the molecular level.

Chemistry graduates are therefore essential for many industries, including but not limited to the chemical, pharmaceutical, cosmetic, agro-food and biotechnological industries, both in quality control (analytic laboratories) as well as in research centers. Students can also continue their studies with a Master's degree in Chemistry

The skills provided by the bachelor's degree program in Chemistry are in fact needed in various fields including for example environmental monitoring, food safety, and drug development but also unusual fields such as the Forensic Sciences and the Restoration and Conservation of Cultural heritage.

Finally, graduates in Chemistry will be able to register with the National Order of Chemists as Junior Chemist upon completion of the mandatory exam (Chimici e professioni assimilate – (Codice ISTAT 2.1.1.2.1), Chimici informatori e divulgatori – (Codice ISTAT 2.1.1.2.2).
