Final exam procedure

Final Examination in the Bachelor's degree program

Students who have acquired at least 110 CFU/ECTS can submit a thesis assignment application. They are required to fill the appropriate form (Application for assignment of activities for the final exam of the Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry/ (Domanda di assegnazione delle attività per la prova finale della Laurea Triennale in Chimica) and submit it to the thesis assignment commission (Prof. Maria Elena Cucciolito). The student can indicate three different research groups in which he/she wishes to carry out the thesis work. The groups need to be chosen from an accredited list ("Proposte per attività formative oggetto della prova finale").

Final exam requirements

Upon starting the research activity for the thesis, the student must complete a thesis start form (MOD_INIZIO TESI) undersigned by the supervisor and send it to Dr. A. Mancino (laureadsc@unina.it). Students who intend to carry out an external thesis will have to follow a different procedure (see external thesis procedure).

Procedural Requirements

The student must initiate the graduation procedure between the first and the 15th day of the month preceding the month he/she intends to graduate in:

The completed application form for the graduation exam (ISTANZA) must be delivered to the Science Students Secretariat (Centri Comuni di Monte Sant' Angelo). IMPORTANT: It is impossible to initiate the graduation procedure and to pay the fee due to constraints in the computer system.

Not less than 20 days before the start of the graduation session (and therefore by the date at which the last exam must be taken) the thesis supervisor will communicate to the student secretariat the acquisition of the credits indicated as "Computer and telematic skills for the final test/ Abilità informatiche e telematiche per la prova finale" The communication must be sent by email to carmelamirella.secondulfo@unina.it.

No less than 15 days before the start of the graduation session, the student needs to send the following items by email to laureadsc@unina.it:

  1. thesis submission form (Mod.desposito tesi)
  2. summary of the thesis work (in Italian and English)
  3. a copy of the thesis
  4. a copy of the statistical survey (Questionario) for undergraduates in Chemistry, completed anonymously.

No less than 15 days before the start of the graduation session, the graduate student will deliver to Science Students Secretariat (Centri Comuni di Monte Sant' Angelo):

  1. Front page of the thesis (in English and Italian), signed by the degree candidate and by the supervisor
  2. An electronic copy (CD-ROM) of the thesis.

For each graduate student, the co-evaluator assignement  commission (Commissione Assegnazione Controrelatori) will identify a co-evaluator who will report on the thesis in the graduation session.

Students must send a copy of the presentation in Powerpoint format to laureadsc@unina.it by noon (12 pm) on the day before the graduation session.

The presentation will be uploaded to the PC that will be used in the graduation session by Dr. A. Mancino. Please note that students must present themselves to the graduation session with a PIN which must be communicated to the commission to allow for digital minutes.

Note: for details on the dates of the graduation sessions and their deadlines, refer to the official calendars published on the website of the Department of Chemical Sciences.
